Did you get a new iPhone or iPad for the holidays? Maybe an iPod touch? If so then I'll go over some must have apps for your new device.
Apple is giving away free content daily for 12 days starting December 26th.
Tweetbot is my number one choice as a twitter client. It is clean, reliable and has tons of features, muting, cross device syncing, push notifications, night mode and more. Please note the $2.99 price is a limited sale, it will be going up to $4.99.
Facebook is, well Facebook. there's not much to say about it. It works, sometimes not well but you can accomplish just about everything you want to with the mobile app.
Flipborad is a place where you can view the majority of your social networks. Once you set up your accounts you can flip through your timeline like a magazine.
Instagram has been around for years and recently added direct messaging of images. It is a free service that allows you to post your pictures with or with out filters.
Snapseed has a ton of editing features. Filters, cropping, rotating, blurring and more. You can also share your retouched images to multiple social networks.
This app was recently updated to be universal and its beautiful. Apple uses Yahoo Weather for their app but the design of both apps is far, far apart.
Get daily push notifications fro apps that go free.
The apps are free but do require a monthly subscription. Watch tons of movies and tv shows anywhere you go.
Get lots of news and articles at the tips of your fingers. Zite learns what you like the more you use it.
Stream music from your favorite artist and create stations. There are commercials but they can be removed for $36.00/ year.
Build your village, train troops and defend yourself from thousand of online players. I absolutely love this game and play every day.
A clean and simple word game where you have to take as may tiles as you can to win.
Guide your ball down a road full of twists and turns but watch out that you don't fall too far off of the road, other wise your game is over. Review.
Navigate your point down a path while avoiding various obstacles. The farther you progress the faster you move. Review.
Also worth noting, beginning in September 2013, Apple's apps went free with the purchase of a new device.
There is a mix of games, entertainment, social networking and productivity apps to get you you started in the right direction with your new device. Let me know what some of the first apps you downloaded were in the comments. Thanks for reading and have a happy and safe new year celebration!!!
